    BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND

Eric's popular demand that is!  The past-time that time no longer allows for due to lack of boredom.

I had a good time the other thursday night at about 1am when I should have been sleeping (I had to wake up for 7am to go to work).  I could not resist watching this movie however as it seemed to have something to do with Lycanthropy, which is the scientific term for what causes werewolves to be werewolves.  There is one thing that really freaks me out, and that is werewolves.  Modern movies such as Underworld and Ginger Snaps have sort of spoiled my fear unfortunately, with their pale, white skinned, almost bald monsters (I am afraid of large, brown, hairy werewolves).

The movie was very interesting, and I like the theme that puberty (especially menstration) was a curse.  The movie dealt with the exploitation of women, coming of age, and being eaten by wolves.  I was also pleasantly (read HUGELY) pleased to recognize a shot of a suburb that I could have sworn was the GTA.  When the end of the movie came, and the credits rolled, this was confirmed by a telefilm logo as a sponsor (Telefilm is a Canadian government film agency), and IMDB.com revealed that the film was made in Canada with canadian money and Canadian actors.  I may even watch the sequel and prequel that were later released (Ginger Snaps: Unleashed, and Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning) even though IMDB seemed to indicate these were of much poorer quality than the original.

Hopefully they are on tv-links.co.uk, or alluc.org where streaming movies can be found.

    LONG TIME NO POST

The SAW trilogy has got to be the most biblical set of movies I have seen in the last 12 months.  With only 30 seconds of combined nudity in the third movie, and many more lessons Jesus has taught than there is gore, I highly recommend this movie to those who are not disturbed by people being kidnapped.

    PRAISING THE LORD

God has been so good to me recently, in all the things I have gotten to experience that have been but mere dreams and fantasies, and I want to thank Him loudly for this.  Hard times always follow good times, and chances are I will never have a perfect life, but I want to thank God.  Isaiah says 'LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.' (26:12).  Everything good God has done for me has been very appreciated.

    GERMAN LADY

Just recently a hockey player brought his car to my dealership at the Scherer Fairway Automall, and this time I got to Drive it!  This car is the little sister to the Mercedes-Mclaren SLR rocked by the likes of Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, and some other celebrity who I forget off the top of my head.  This car is incredible, and incredibly expensive, but not outrageous like the SLR (not that you would know it by the fact that Lohan has crashed her quarter-million dollar car THREE times in the last year!)

Each AMG engine is built by hand, and the signature of the builder is inscribed onto the engine.

I also like this car in white, although this example is tuned by Lorinser:

  • Italian Ladies

No I am not talking about my female cousins, although I did hang out with them today and they are as high maintanence as these cars, and just almost as physically good looking.  My uncle had some business come into his shop this weekend, and so after the funeral my mother brought me to, I went to visit my Zio Maurizio and my cousin Sandro and we got to bomb around in this thing:

I did not have my camera with me but this is the 355 Spider model we rocked.  The sound of the low displacement V8 was INCREDIBLE!!!  This was my first time riding in a Ferrari ever, and the sound it makes is unimaginable.  There is very little insulation between the back of the seats and the engine; it lets you hear every note of the snarling exhaust, especially when you are doing 0-60 in 4.7 seconds!

    German Ladies

Almost as sexy as Italian Ladies are german ladies.  No I am not talking about my girlfriend, but if I had not been stuffing my face with pizza (black olives are better than green olives) and had shown up to the shop 5 minutes earlier I could also have bombed around in one of these:

The owner of the 355 had his winter car, a silver 2002 Porsche Carrera 911 Turbo, to drive home in.  My cousin Sandro got to go for a ride.

P.S. Robyn, if you bothered to read this far, I got to eat Asparagus pasta for lunch today!
